Photographs of food stuffs tie portraits one on another. They function as voids, reference daily necessary actions. These photographs confront the common aesthetics of food- and beauty images with a subjective standard of beauty. Sensual acces completes a subjective order.



My photographs, taken from 1989 - 2002 were reason and material for the "food for life office" (Lebensmittelbüro). The image of architectures were produced as black and white wall papers and hung from the ceiling. Colored image sequences run on a screen, which was installed - like the tv in a bar - slightly elevated position within one of the paperwalls.
